WHY COACHING CARROT?

A Crunchy Philosophy

The carrot stands for quite a few things!
For starters, as a kid, I was a big fan of carrots.  My skin even started to radiate an orangish hue (shoutout to beta carotene for the toddler tan)!

As I got older and expanded my palate, carrots weren’t the top of my favorite foods, but they continued to be a grocery list staple.  One day I was crunching my carrots and was caught off guard when someone proceeded to give me unsolicited nutrition advice.  I should “limit my carrot intake since they were high in carbs.”  😲 Um no.  This comment stuck with me my entire life.  While I am a firm believer of everything in moderation, carrots aren’t exactly something I would be concerned about overindulging on.  This moment fueled my focus for coaching.  No demonizing of foods (or carbs, fat, etc), but instead empower others to make nutrient rich choices that strengthen their bodies.  


Lastly, carrot stands for my drive to eat more plants!  While I am not vegan or even 100% vegetarian, I strongly believe focusing on plants for the center of your diet has the most optimal benefits for your health.  My goal is to help you incorporate more fruits and vegetables into a diet that is manageable for you.
